Open Source Software stream covers various topics related to open source software, including open procurement, best open source practices and fresh showcases where open source has made a difference. We will hear about the importance of software freedom and discuss the threats to openess and general purpose computing that we are currently facing. We also have a session dedicated to the potential future of mobile technologies – what role can open source software play in these new developments? Programming is organised by COSS (the Finnish Centre for Open Systems and Solutions).
This year OKFestival’s Open Source Software topic stream also acts as Openmind 2012, the event in Finland about business, companies and tools around open source.
